Linear View garden with contemporary sawn stone linear planks to accentuate the view to the end of the garden where a focal point bird bath water feature is located. There is a walled seating area and a private area for reading also located within the garden space.
To create a modern garden with a couple of seating areas to both eat and entertain. The garden was to have plenty of colour but with winter interest. A reading area was to be incorporated to get away from the hustle and bustle of modern life.
The garden was primarily designed to accentuate the long yet narrow nature of the space. A single pathway set with linear stone paving was placed down one side of the garden directly opposite a small seating area and patio doors. This draws the eye down the garden from the house which in turn leads to a stone bird bath and specimen Acer. A seating area for entertaining was incorporated to the rear of the garden with surrounding wall which acts as a mental barrier around the rest of the space. This also created a space for extra seating if a large party was being catered for. Half way down the garden is a Southern Yellow Pine slatted screen to create a private area for one person to read, complete with a personal water feature.
